Cost Plus World Market

While I have been a content creator for well over a decade (I cover that below), my professional career in social media began at Cost Plus World Market. There, I was responsible for the organic social media strategy and calendar, as well as the day-to-day management and scheduling of social channels, including Instagram (1.5M), Facebook (1.5M), Twitter (107k), and Pinterest (457k).

I was also responsible for managing customer interactions such as comments, replies, and DMs across all channels. I spear-headed all social-only promotions and partnerships to engage and grow their following. I monitored and analyzed campaign performance; reported to c-level leadership weekly and leveraged findings to improve our social media strategy.

PR by the Book

As Digital Media Director at PR by the Book, I was responsible for the paid and organic social media strategy for the firm. I oversaw the day-to-day management and scheduling of owned social channels, including Instagram, Facebook, Threads, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and Pinterest, while also managing digital interns and assistant publicists who contributed book content. We leveraged insights to optimize strategy while staying current with emerging bookish social media trends.

Digital Book Publicity Campaigns

In addition to overseeing PR by the Book's social media strategy, my team managed the digital components of our Publicity Campaigns, including social media management, content creation, digital advertising, influencer outreach, and social media consulting. Throughout my tenure, I successfully established and managed numerous author social media accounts, leveraging insights into emerging author and book content trends to drive engagement and visibility.

Content Creator

As a seasoned content creator with over a decade of experience, I launched a successful lifestyle blog in 2012, which has provided numerous professional opportunities and industry insights.

  • Successfully published a cookbook, “5-Ingredient Instant Pot Cookbook for Two,” by Callisto Media.

  • Built and maintain a social community on Instagram (75k), Facebook (37k), Pinterest (220k), and a website that receives 1M+ pageviews yearly.

  • Content featured in multiple large publications including Parents Magazine, Martha Stewart Living, Better Homes and Gardens and Country Sampler.

  • Key partnerships have included Disney, Better Homes and Gardens, Dunkin, Torani, Martha Stewart and Michael’s Stores.
